The Deputy President of the Senate and Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has rolled out empowerment schemes for people in his constituency. Beneficiaries include youths and women in his constituency.
At the empowerment programme which took place in Orhomuru, Orogun, the hometown of the Deputy Senate President, the DSP, ably represented by Mr. Jimmy Omo-Agege said that sustainable empowerment of the people is the key to a safer and better society.
According to him: “It is my resolve to represent my people with the very best of my capabilities and in doing so, empowerment programmes like this one is one of the ways in which we can reach out to the rural people and help them to be self-sufficient.”
Items distributed at the empowerment programme include cars for all the Delta Central APC LGA chairmen, members of the ‘Agege Again’ team, ward youth and women leaders.
Other empowerment tools include, grinding machines, Tricycles and motorcycles.
Beneficiaries of this gesture were elated and thanked the DSP and the APC for this show of love towards them.
